Implants
Permanent dental implants as a natural-looking tooth replacement.
Implants are the most modern form of tooth replacement. A titanium implant is placed in the jawbone as an artificial tooth root and serves as a solid base for crowns, bridges, or dentures.
The treatment spans several months: planning, implantation, healing phase, and finally the prosthetic restoration. As a dental technician, Mr. Teichmann crafts the crown directly in the practice.
How does implant treatment work?
After the examination and an X-ray we plan the position and size of the implant. Placement is done under local anaesthesia and takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on the case. During the healing phase of about three to six months the implant bonds with the bone. The crown, bridge or denture is then attached to it.
Who are implants suitable for?
Implants are an option when a single tooth, several teeth or all teeth are missing and the jawbone is stable enough. Where bone has receded, bone augmentation can be done first. Healthy gums, good oral hygiene and regular check-ups are important for long-term stability. Whether implants make sense for you is clarified in the examination.
What is special about the Teichmann practice?
Planning, placement and the restoration come from a single source. As a dental technician, Mr Teichmann makes the crown himself, so shape and colour are matched directly with you. Before treatment you receive a treatment and cost plan listing every item.
