Prevention is the best treatment. Regular check-ups allow us to detect and treat problems early, before they grow. We recommend at least two check-up appointments per year.
Professional dental cleaning (PZR) complements your preventive care: our trained specialists remove stubborn deposits, discolouration and bacteria, including in hard-to-reach areas. The treatment includes removal of tartar and soft deposits, polishing of all tooth surfaces, fluoridation to protect the enamel and personal tips for your oral hygiene at home.
Many health insurers cover the cost of professional dental cleaning in full or in part, especially within the DentNet network. Please feel free to ask your health insurer.
What happens during a professional dental cleaning?
An appointment usually takes 45 to 60 minutes. We first check your teeth and gums, then remove tartar and soft plaque with ultrasound and hand instruments, polish all tooth surfaces and finish with a fluoride varnish. You receive advice on which areas need more attention at home and which tools suit you.
How often is prevention useful?
Two check-ups a year are the rule. How often a professional cleaning makes sense depends on your oral health: with healthy gums one appointment a year is often enough; with a tendency to gum inflammation, dentures or implants we recommend shorter intervals. We agree the right rhythm with you.
What is special about the Teichmann practice?
